Nebraska State Fair – Sign Up

I have a sign up form posted in our Calendar of Events for the Nebraska State Fair.

You can reach the Event by clicking on this link.

Currently I don’t have the specific dates and times setup yet. I won’t have those until much closer to the Fair. At this point you certainly can express your interest in contributing by clicking on the above link.

I’m hoping to have a meeting setup soon to discuss how we want to setup our Command Post this year. Would also welcome any other comments on how we can do things better. I’ll post the date and location of the meeting on this web site when I figure out when it will be.

Last year was a huge success..lets make this year even better.

Email I received about an upcoming ham convention in Colorado – Stan.

Hello Grand Island Amateur Radio Society

As you’re probably aware, we’re gearing up for an outstanding ARRL Rocky Mountain Division Convention to be held in Estes Park, Colorado, June 27-30, 2013.

Yes, you read those dates correctly!

Four days of amateur radio excellence jam packed with technical sessions and forums, a very rare WWV tour, a Denver ARTCC (Air Route Traffic Control Center) tour, superb speakers, W1AW/Ø operations, vendors, exhibitors, a special DX University session, a prominent storm chaser (Tim Samaras of the Discovery Channel), contests, QSL card checking, a silent auction for radios, a visit to the Estes Park Astronomical Observatory, and much more.
